Make sure your hands are clean and then clean the wound (ie. move any gravel, etc. that might be in there) and then put some healing ointment on it and then bandage it up! You want to bandage it up - the myth of letting a wound air dry is just that, a myth! Like peeing on a jellyfish sting, someone made it up somewhere along the way. It doesn't actually help. But a heating pad can. You can put a warm compress on the wound to help new blood come to the area. Eating healthy will actually help your body heal the wound faster too.
