Good dry food storage options include:

- Rice (brown, long-grain, short-grain)

- Beans: dried beans are better than beans in a can but canned beans are really convenient. It's good to have both.

Cured meats: if you like meat, these are good to have. Salami or smoked ham and bacon.

Powdered eggs: These are good if fresh eggs are unavailable.

Canned foods: like vegetables and fruit and soup and fish! tuna, sardines, and salmon.

Peanut Butter: Yum!

Parmesan and other cheeses: You can freeze these.

Spices: You'll want these!
