You REALLY don't want to have to eat an MRE unless you ABSOLUTELY have to. Unless you like the taste of dry cardboard bits that will sustain life. MRE stands for meals ready to eat and are packed full of calories to last a long time and keep you alive. But I'd recommend getting lots of clif bars or something. Unless you're going to the middle of the desert or plan on getting stuck on a boat...MRE's wouldn't be my top choice of nutrients.
