How do I make a family disaster plan?

I want to make a plan for my family in case there is an emergency. I know we should have emergency numbers and contacts, and have a meeting place set up, but what else do I need?

Check out this link from https://www.ready.gov/plan. You can make a plan, practice the plan, look at what needs your family specifically has, etc. They have a bunch of plans for all sorts of families and some videos too.
