A good way to save for an emergency is to make sure to put a little bit of money away each month - even if you have debt! You always need to put some money away for an emergency. Even a few dollars every paycheck will add up over time. But you need to make sure you DON'T spend it unless it's REALLY an emergency. We're talking food, shelter, housing, car, or medical payments. Most everything else isn't actually an emergency.
