The easiest way is to have an emergency backup battery charger on hand. I like to keep one in my car as well as in my house - they're both always charged. You can also get a power inverter so you can use things like your car battery as a charger. If you have power on your laptop you can use that too!

There are also other super creative ideas on like using a DC battery and other odds and ends (think Macgyver): https://www.mnn.com/green-tech/gadgets-electronics/stories/ways-charge-your-phone-when-theres-no-power
